A video of Steve Kean appearing to make derogatory remarks about his predecessor Sam Allardyce has gone online.
The four-minute clip first which first appeared on the Blackburn supporters website BRFC Action Group, was apparently filmed in a bar against Kean s knowledge during the club s pre-season tour of the Far East last summer.
Along with the disparaging remarks about Allardyce, the Scot also predicts a top-10 Premier League finish along with Carling Cup success.
However, Rovers have since been relegated after finishing second-bottom, and were knocked out of the cup by Championship side Cardiff City in controversial circumstances in November.
Kean bizarrely fielded a weakened side in the quarter-final tie and later revealed that he had forfeited the game to concentrate on upcoming league ties.
But it is the remarks regarding Allardyce that are likely to cause the most controversy, given that Kean replaced the current West Ham boss after his sacking in December 2010.
Along with the club s owners, the Rovers manager has often been the focal point of the supporters frustrations this season as the Lancashire club struggled.
Kean was also apparently caught discussing former defender Phil Jones, implying that Allardyce and the club s academy coaches were not aware of the youngster s talent.
The leak comes as the 44-year-old is set to engage in his first face-to-face talks with owners Venky s since Rovers’ relegation to the Championship.
